Ticket Based Security is a user option that overides the way computers are chosen for display. Normally, the groups that the user is a member of determine which computers, and therefore which clients, the user can see.
With ticket based security, the tickets that the user has that are New or Opened determine which computers the user can see. If the user has five tickets for five different computers all at the same client, that user will see only one client and the five computers with open tickets. This allows for outside technicians to be assigned tickets and be given access to computers in the LabTech System so that they can fix problems.
The permissions set are only recalulated when a Full Refresh of the system is performed. To manaually update permission sets, hold CTRL while clicking Refresh on the Toolbar.
